Leatrice Caldwell

With over 20 years as a professional in the field of financial industry and outreach, Leatrice brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role as Senior Vice President of Outreach at State Employees’ Credit Union. She oversees three key departments within her organization statewide: financial education, community involvement, and volunteer engagement. 

Leatrice has worked to develop and implement strategies to educate individuals by leading financial education initiatives such as Reality of Money simulations, teaching budgeting, saving, and smart financial decision-making.  She also serves on the board of the North Carolina Council on Economic Education (NCCEE).”  

Leatrice has led efforts to engage with and support the communities she serves through various initiatives, such as charitable donations, partnerships with local organizations. Her passion for giving back extends to her work in volunteer engagement, where she oversees the Advisory Board program across 275 branches and help facilitate opportunities that connect Advisory Board insights to meaningful member engagement and community impact. 

Leatrice holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Master of Science in Business Management and Leadership from Western Governor’s University.
