Tom Kuslikis currently serves as the President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at EFCU Financial Federal Credit Union, a position he has held since 2023. Previously, he held the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at University of Michigan Credit Union (UMCU) in Ann Arbor, Michigan, from 2014 until his relocation in 2023.
During his tenure at UMCU, Tom played a pivotal role in the significant growth of the credit union. Under his leadership, UMCU’s assets grew from $516 million to $1.4 billion, and loans increased from $304 million to over $1 billion. Tom’s achievements have been recognized through various accolades, including being named a Trailblazer 40 below by CU Times and one of the Top 25 CFOs of Michigan for 2023 by Finance and Investing.
In addition to his role as President & CEO, Tom actively participates in numerous credit union–related boards, committees, and non-profit organizations. He previously served as a director for the Michigan Credit Union League (MCUL) and currently holds several leadership positions, including board director and treasurer for Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan and Board Chair for Luminate- Louisiana Credit Union League. Most recently, he was appointed to the CSE Advisory Board for the LSU Division of Computer Science & Engineering. He also serves on multiple boards and committees with America’s Credit
Unions, the national trade association for credit unions.
Tom’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Accounting from Aquinas College and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan. He is a Licensed Certified Public Accountant and Certified Internal Auditor.
Currently residing in Prairieville, Louisiana, Tom lives with his wife and four children. He maintains a deep passion for credit unions and is excited to lead EFCU Financial, serving it’s members, the community, and its team members
