Steve Taylor

Steve Taylor is SVP, Financial Services at Kaltura. He leads the company’s financial services business across the Americas, helping banks, insurers and wealth managers use video and AI to change how they engage clients. 

Steve has spent 30 years as a SaaS operator and founder, working where digital innovation meets governance. Over that time he has built and scaled five companies to successful exits. They range from governance, risk and compliance platforms to personalized digital engagement solutions for financial institutions. 

He trained in philosophy, with a focus on ethics and existentialism, and that background shapes how he approaches responsible AI. He believes institutions earn trust in AI by designing governance in from the start, not adding it afterward. Steve is the founder of Veita, a company studio based in Toronto, and is founding Second Thought, an AI ethics collective.
