Vice President, Enterprise Digital Strategy, Innovation & Payments

Vipul is an experienced business executive with a proven track record of developing market-leading strategies and delivering on them. His blend of business and technology skills has enabled him to be a thought leader in the digital channels and payments space. In his current role, Vipul leads the ongoing development of TD’s enterprise digital strategy, creating a consolidated view of the collective digital goals for every TD business, benchmarking maturity and progress against our digital roadmap as we position the Bank for continued success.

Prior to this role, as Head of Enterprise Payments Platform & Capabilities, Vipul was responsible for oversight and management of Enterprise Payments roadmaps and innovation, and working closely with various partners, including technology and third-party vendors, to execute on these roadmaps. Some of his team’s major projects include Canadian Payments Modernization (Real-Time Payments Rail) and TD Global Transfers (International Remittances).

Prior to this role, as the Head of North American Mobile Platforms, Vipul had ownership of the strategy and roadmap for TD’s mobile (and related) offerings such as smartphone, tablet and wearable apps and future-looking platforms such as connected cars, smart TVs, IoT devices, etc.

He has extensive management consulting experience at Monitor Deloitte where he focused on Financial Services – P&C Insurance and Banking, Telecommunications and Retail industries. His numerous engagements in strategy consulting have included strategy formulation, operating model design, business transformation, process re-design, market entry strategy formulation, business plan creation, project management, financial modeling and enterprise cost reduction.
Vipul has published a range of papers and thought material on mobile payments, Artificial Intelligence, IoT, etc. and is a frequent speaker at industry events.

Prior to his MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business, Vipul also has over seven years of experience managing, architecting and developing various technology solutions at telecommunications giant Avaya in NJ, USA.
